Mexican Flip at Kosmopol

It was my first cocktail of the year and to put it bluntly, it was a huge disappointment. The so-called martini consisted of cazadores reposado, st germain elderflower liquer, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg yolk; finished off with a sprinkle of cinnamon dust.
I had never tried cazadores reposado and was also intrigued by the egg yolk, so instead of going for the safe option, I chose this. What I received was an oversweet concoction that left an unsurprising thick egg yolk aftertaste in my mouth. The cinnamon dust was like a sea of sweetened grit floating on top of a watery pond. It didn't help the drink at all.
With the Margarita being one of my favourite cocktails, I longed for a similar Mexican kick; to be expected with the description of Flip in its name. But alas, my expectations were thwarted and I left Kosmopol in a hurry, with the taste of egg yolk still in my mouth as I headed to the nearest pub.
